At the core of really good homes is a firm connection between how the inside and outside are designed – a smooth blend which shows what the people who live there are about, and what they want, whilst also respecting what makes the place it is. We, as a company, are very pleased with how we design, getting builders, developers, and owners to work together to make one strong architectural idea. This way of working changes rooms into special places made for the way people actually live, and what they like.

We start our complete design work with a careful look at what our clients want and need. By working closely with builders and developers, we want to get the real feel of each job – be it a very fancy beach house on Long Beach Island, or a welcoming home in Ocean County. Where a place is, and what the weather is like, are key to the design story; so our people use a full knowledge of what materials are local, what’s now popular in architecture, and what the climate is like, to make both how things look, and how well they work, the best they can be.

Shore-Tuned Custom Blueprints

When we do the inside design, we make sure it fits what our clients have in mind, but also that everything in it has a reason to be there. Our designers, who have been trained, put first the making of rooms which help the people in them, using color schemes and textures to the touch that make comfort and being yourself happen. We put into practice the ideas of biophilic design – to link rooms inside and the natural world outside better – something very important for houses by the sea, where wide views of the ocean can be beautifully shown through big windows and open-plan rooms. This makes a complete experience, where the insides show the calm beauty of the outside world.

At the same time, the outside design work is as careful and forward-looking. Our work with builders starts with a full study of the land, looking at which way it faces, the shape of it, and what’s around it, to come up with a front for the building that is good to look at, and also fits in with the environment. We choose materials with care to make sure they stand up to the weather, but also make the building look good from the road, thinking about how it feels to the touch and how shapes work with what is natural around it. When advising on jobs like luxury beach homes, we put stress on how important outside spaces are – making pleasing patios, decks, and gardens that give a smooth move from living inside to living outside.

Seamless Design-to-Build Handoff

The skill of our work together goes through many changes and chances to give our views, to be sure that every design choice is what our client wants. We try to put our clients’ way of life into every part of the design – whether it’s picking the right tile for the wall behind the kitchen worktop to show what they like, or designing an outside that is what the coastal charm of LBI is. Also, we use new technology – using 3D shapes and virtual reality to let owners get a look at their future rooms, making a two-way talk that lets them make good choices.

Basically, what we believe in design is a promise to good work, and making things for people, saying that we do things to order to make high-class homes which are as special as the people living in them. Our people are always trying to put together strands of being useful, being pleasing to the eye, and being able to be kept going, in a way that helps each other, and shows what modern living is.
